Mike Bunda practices with the Retail & Hospitality and Criminal Defense Practice Groups.
An experienced litigator, Mike graduated from the University of South Carolina’s Joseph F. Rice School of Law. After graduation, he served as an Assistant Public Defender in Richland Country and later worked as the Principal Attorney for another Columbia law firm. Mike has worked on a wide range of criminal matters from magistrate court offenses all the way up to serious felonies, including death penalty cases while a clerk for the Capital Trials Division of the Office of Indigent Defense.
Mike prides himself in fighting for justice and fairness in the legal system and the community as a whole. Since joining Collins and Lacy Mike has brought that same passion to the Civil Law arena and continues to work every day to ensure true justice is served both inside and outside the court room. Mike’s criminal law experience make him the ideal candidate to lead the impressive group of talented lawyers that make up Collins and Lacy’s Criminal Defense Practice Group.
When Mike isn’t in the office or courtroom he enjoys spending time with his wife, toddler, and two dogs, squeezing in as much sports viewing as he can, and in the rare instance he gets the chance, getting in a round of golf.
