Collins & Lacy Welcomes Attorney Jerrod B. Fussnecker

Columbia, S.C. — Collins & Lacy, P.C. is pleased to announce the addition of Jerrod B. Fussnecker to its Trucking and Retail & Hospitality Practice Groups. A distinguished trial attorney, Jerrod brings extensive litigation experience, a deep commitment to client advocacy, and a track record of excellence in both military and civilian legal arenas.

A graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, Jerrod additionally earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Cincinnati College Law and a Master’s in International Law in the United Kingdom at Oxford.

His legal career is rooted in military service in the Army JAG Corps, where he served as a prosecutor in Germany, a supervisory prosecutor at Fort Irwin, CA, and the Officer in Charge of the Hunter Army Airfield Legal Center. His military service has taken him across the globe, including a deployment to Afghanistan, during Operation Enduring Freedom, where he served as a Command Judge Advocate.

Notably, Jerrod served as the Deputy Prosecutor in the court-martial of Bowe Bergdahl on charges of misbehavior before the enemy and desertion. Jerrod is currently a Lieutenant Colonel in the Army Reserves where he serves as a military judge. A graduate of the U.S. Army War College, Jerrod is an Adjunct Professor at the University of South Carolina School of Law where he teaches the Military Law elective.

Prior to joining Collins & Lacy, Jerrod served as an Assistant Attorney General for the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office, where he prosecuted jury trials on charges including murder, human trafficking, sexual assault, and police misconduct. He successfully resolved over 200 cases across more than 30 counties.
